It Hiring a Window Cleaner Worth it?

I will start by saying that I am obviously biased that you should hire a window cleaner. But here's the thing, I know it's worth it and you know it's worth it, you just haven't been convinced yet. This blog post is designed to give you the facts and reasoning to back up what we both already know and hopefully gets you one step closer to delegating a difficult task to a professional. If you're in love with the DIY world of spending $8000.00 on equipment to do a $300.00 job, this is not the blog post for you. Cleaning windows is often perceived as a simple chore that can be done by anyone, and they can! With a weekend of work and some expensive equipment, you can do it yourself, just make sure you triple the amount of time you think it will take and 10x the cost. With several methods available, you can get your windows to shine again. However, there are several reasons why hiring a window cleaner is obviously worth it:

Expertise and Experience:

There are plenty of great DIY YouTube videos on how to clean windows. If you spend a few hours and study across a few professionals, you can get a good grasp on the general "do's and don'ts". But professional window cleaners have the necessary expertise and experience to tackle even the toughest cleaning jobs without damaging your property. They utilize various cleaning techniques, have specialized equipment - and the requisite experience with said equipment - and know how to handle several styles of windows, glass types, specialty finishes, and different contaminates that respond divergently to certain cleaning methods or techniques.

Time-Savings:

Cleaning windows is a time-consuming task, especially if you have a large property or many windows to clean. Hiring a window cleaner allows you to free up your time and focus on more important tasks or activities that either you are a professional at or you enjoy more. If you think that cleaning your 2-story home with 17 windows is going to take you a day... you're either superman, a pro, or haven't had to clean them yet. Usually, windows that haven't been cleaned in a year or two have stuff on them that normal cleaning methods won't remove.

Safety:

Window cleaning can be risky, especially when windows are located on a 2nd or 3rd-story or where the ground is uneven. Professional window cleaners are equipped with the right safety gear and have the necessary skills and experience to ensure a safe and accident-free cleaning process. I promise window cleaning is cheaper than an ER bill.

Improved Results:

When you hire a professional window cleaner, you can expect a superior result. They have the knowledge and tools to remove stubborn dirt, streaks, and smudges, leaving your windows spotless and crystal-clear. When they come across a special case scenario, the experience they have garnered as professionals allows them to deal with it swiftly. The last thing you want to do is screw you windows up and then hire a pro. The number of windows I have cleaned after they were destroyed by an unknowing homeowner would stagger you.

Long-Term Cost Savings:

Regular window cleaning by professionals can help prolong the lifespan of your windows. By properly removing dirt, debris, and corrosive substances, you can prevent damage and avoid costly repairs or replacements in the future.

Conclusion

In conclusion, hiring a window cleaner can be worth it for many individuals and businesses. The expertise, time-saving benefits, safety considerations, improved results, and long-term cost savings make it a valuable investment, but you already know that; this is just confirmation.
